Like the Native American Flutes of days gone by, our Southern Plains Gallery Flutes feature a Split-Tail Swallow bird crafted from Alaskan Yellow Cedar and faces the player, a body of Eastern Red Cedar and Split-Tail Swallow coloring on the open beak.

I chose the Split-Tail Swallow because my Grandmother used to say that the Split-Tails were the birds that would fly in front of the storms that brought wisdom.

The Southern Plains Gallery Flutes are a solid bore and are available in two tunings... a 3/4" bore Am and a 7/8" bore F#. Each flute is hand crafted, voiced and tuned individually. They have a slightly "raspy" voice and feature our Signature Warble. Each flute is individually signed and numbered.
